Steel vats are a common component throughout industrial process operations and our components in our simulations.

A paper was prepared for the 10th World Conference on Educational Multimedia and Hypermedia, "ED-MEDIA & ED-TELECOM 98" sponsored by AACE (Association for the Advancement of Computing in Education) and held in Freiburg, Germany on June 20-25, 1998.

This paper provides a useful insight into the theory behind the design and implementation of the Smart Operator™ product, as well as discussing the merits of knowledge-based simulation systems.
